Course of the Week: Sheshan International Golf Club

This week’s Course of the Week is Sheshan International Golf Club, located just 20 minutes outside of the city of Shanghai, China and host of the WGC HSBC Championship.  The private golf club was established in 2004 and has already hosted the HSBC Championship Tournament four times.  In addition, it was named “The Best Golf Course in Asia” by the Asian Golf Association in 2008.  Sheshan International Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by NELSON&HAWORTH, and the only golf course near Shanghai which has a mountain setting.  The course is built around 1000 year old ginkgo trees, a spectacular quarry and Jiangnan style bridges all with a unique forested hillside environment.  The golf course offers a strong challenge to golfers of all levels, as well as scenic views on every hole.

In addition to the great golf course, Sheshan International Golf Club also has a great community of villas inside its vicinities, as well as an award winning clubhouse offering spa treatments, restaurants and a sports club.  Make sure to check out the website!
