Bettinardi Golf makes some of the best putters in the world. Matt Kuchar is a user of Bettinardi putters and even has his own collaboration with the company – the Arm Lock Putter. Furthermore, they’ve also made commemorative putters for the Presidents Cup with their BB8 style putters. Make sure to take a look behind the scenes to see how these amazing putters are made.
For 2014, Bettinardi Golf introduces the new BB55 milled putter. In the video above, you’ll get an internal glimpse of the precision milling process at the Bettinardi manufacturing facility to see how these putters are made. The BB55 is a mallet style putter milled from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. The rear weight plugs move discretionary weight to the extreme back of the putter head to allow for a more stable stroke. The smooth rolling side panels, including the cut out in the middle of the body and the triple vertical sightlines, help golfers align the putter to their golf ball properly.
The BB55 also features the famous Hyper-Honeycomb face, but it has been milled over again adding the Bettinardi F.I.T. (Feel Impact Technology) face which delivers an even softer feel and stronger feedback on mishits. The finishing touch is assembled with a fly-milled, red anodized insert. The BB55 putter weights 358 grams and is finished in a champagne bronze with a red pure grip. It will be available on January 15th, 2014.

I’ve always enjoyed Bettinardi putters, and I actually use a Bettinardi x Mizuno BC4, myself. It was great to actually see just how much goes into the creation of one of the brand’s putters. And despite it’s unconventional looks, the BB55 does look like a putt-sinking machine!
