It really hasn’t sank in for Adam Scott yet that he is the 2013 Masters Champion. Check out the video below, filmed by Team Titleist during Scott’s preparation for the WGC-Cadillac Championship. Among the topics discussed was the upcoming Masters tournament and his insights proved to be almost prophetic! He would go on to win and become the first Australian with a green jacket!
Post-Masters, Scott has recently given an interview with “CBS This Morning” where he discusses his historic win at Augusta. You can check out the video below! He said it was “incredibly satisfying” to win his first major, and that he’s “so privileged” to become the first Australian to claim the Masters. But no golf interview seems to be complete without a Tiger Woods question these days – Scott was asked whether he thought Woods would break Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 majors… and his reply?
“I absolutely believe he will,” Scott said. “I’ve learned in my career – and I’ve played through his prime the whole time, which has been hard because he was so dominant – but I never doubt what he’s capable of on a golf course. He’s just proven us all wrong so many times if you doubt him, and he’ll find a way to do it, for sure. I believe that.”
As for his own major ambitions, Scott smiled and said, “I don’t know if I’ll get to 18. But I’d love to get another one sometime.” Maybe The Open Championship!
