The 2014 PGA TOUR season concluded last weekend at the TOUR Championship, won by Billy Horschel. There is still lots of golf left to be played though – the Ryder Cup is set to begin in less than two weeks and the European Tour is still hosting events. Furthermore, with the PGA TOUR’s wrap around schedule these days, the sport of golf never really stops!
We’re already looking forward to the Major Championships in 2015, particularly the US Open as it will be hosted for the very first time in the Pacific Northwest at Chambers Bay Golf Course, a links style golf course. We’ve had the opportunity to play Chambers Bay a couple of times (see our photos of the course here!) and can’t wait to watch the pros take it on.
It’s a golf course that is definitely a trek though – the front nine feels like a hike as it has a lot of incline which may be difficult for the average golfer. However, the utilization of the GolfBoard could definitely make the course more accessible to golfers of all levels. Take a look at the video above as Golf Digest Deputy Editor Max Adler tours Chambers Bay, site of the 2015 U.S. Open, on a GolfBoard. And make sure to check out our photos from Chambers Bay!
