This week, the PGA Tour sets foot in San Diego for the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines! This will mark Tiger Woods’ first start in 2014 as he goes for his ninth victory at Torrey Pines, winning the Buick Invitational/Farmers Insurance Open seven times and of course, the unforgettable US Open victory in 2008! As we prepare for this week’s tournament, the PGA Tour previews the week ahead while also looking back at some of the history at Torrey Pines!
We also get some insight from Joe DeBock, Head Golf Professional at Torrey Pines, on how to play the par-3 3rd hole on the South Course. If you forgot, Tiger Woods won the tournament last year and will begin defending his title on Thursday at 10:40 a.m. PST on the first hole of the Torrey Pines South Course. He will be paired with Jimmy Walker and reigning PGA Tour rookie of the year Jordan Spieth!
