Rory McIlroy is just 27-years-old and has already amassed a very impressive golfing resume. He has 20 professional wins including 4 Major Championships, 2 World Golf Championships and 3 Ryder Cups. With this success, he’s even reached world number one, but is still hungry for more. Every day is another day to get better and every tournament is another chance for Rory to leave his mark on the sport.
Off the golf course, Rory puts in the work to be the best he can be. He spends time in the gym training his body and his mind for the rigors of competitive golf with exercises that will balance his athleticism and maximize the efficiency of his golf swing. On the course, his love for the sport allows him to spend countless hours honing his craft. Growing up watching his idol, Tiger Woods, definitely had a “ripple” effect onto Rory as well as the rest of the younger generation of golfers, to take care of not just their golf games, but their bodies.
In the video above, hear from Rory as he talks about his childhood, growing up in Northern Ireland, his love for the sport and more. Take a look.
