This past week, world number one golfer Rory McIlroy won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic for the second time in his career, earning his 10th career European Tour victory in the process. The host of the tournament was Emirates Golf Club and during the week, Golfing World was able to speak with many of golf’s top professionals about this great golf course in Dubai!
Not only does the Emirates Golf Club host the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, but it also hosts the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. When it opened in 1988, the course was the first in the Middle East that was all grass. Dubai has certainly changed throughout the years and you can see the change from around the golf course. The skyline of the city gives the golf course an unreal backdrop for some of the best views in golf.
