Course of the Week: Copper Creek Golf Club

copper-creek_feature

Two weeks ago, we featured Angus Glen Golf Club in our Canadian Province Course of the week feature (we skipped last week due to the US Open). This week, we’re staying in Ontario and featuring Copper Creek Golf Club. Only 30 minutes from downtown Toronto, Copper Creek was recently voted the best public golf course in the Greater Toronto Area. It was designed by Canadian architect Doug Carrick and set amongst the rolling hills and forest of the beautiful Humber River Valley.

Copper Creek is also home to the 4 1/2 guarantee. With slow play being a major issue in the game (even the USGA has addressed it with their “While We’re Young” campaign!), they offer great incentives for golfers to finish within the 4 1/2 hour pace of play. If the round is played in 4 hours or less, you’ll receive a $30 credit for the next time you play. If it takes longer than 4 1/2 hours, you also receive a compensation voucher! Take a look at how it all works here. In addition to the beautiful golf course, they offer a 40,000 square foot clubhouse complete with every amenity imaginable including a banquet facility seating up to 600 guests, the Kleinburg Room and Bistro for fine or casual dining – all with views overlooking the valley.
